On July 17, 2010 in San Francisco, Becky McClain, a molecular biologist who was exposed to a genetically engineered virus at Pfizer, discussed why she was fired for making OSHA complaints and also talked about the real dangers of the unregulated biotech and nanotech industry..
The main point I would like to direct your attention to when you listen to her speech... is our emerging degenerative diseases.Poor modern processed diets play a huge role in creating disease BUT.....how much of the world's suffering is due to escaped microbes from biotech labs.....including those in universities. I attended the trial of Becky McClain vs Pfizer. The judge brought up the idea that the people around Becky were not sick so she must not have passed any dangerous germs on to them from the lab where she was exposed. Evidently the judge does not understand that people only come down with illnesses when their immune systems are not functioning properly. Just because someone is not outwardly sick, does not mean that they are not carriers of germs....and it doesn't mean that they won't become ill down the road at some point when their immune system is weaker. Also many diseases are being labeled as autoimmune when there is a real viral or bacterial cause underlying their illness.In other words, I believe,the magnitude of the incidence of chronic infectious disease is being covered up. Instead our attention is being redirected to flu scares , West Nile Virus, Sars, etc, which as of yet are not really as much of a threat as they are being made out to be.
