Milk has been given a bad rap in recent times and one of the reasons is because it causes quite a few different health problems. A few of these conditions are asthma, allergies, lactose intolerance, colon problems....etc. Are these side effects due to the inherent nature of milk (a food that has been consumed by many cultures for thousands of years) or are they due to the adulteration of the milk by factory farm production? In the past Pasteurized milk has caused problems for me, such as stomach cramps and stuffy nose....so I stopped drinking it. When I was introduced to natural unpasteurized milk, I was a bit leary, thinking I wouldn't be able to tolerate it. However, I found that the unadulterated fresh milk totally agreed with me. It tastes delicious and retains all of its nutirtive benefits. I make my own kefir and soft cheeses from it and as a result am able to benefit from the natural enzymes and good bacteria. I am very grateful to live in a state that allows raw fresh milk to be sold. People travel from all over the state....with their children and big coolers to be able to benefit from this life giving food. They are passionate about their right to consume what mother nature has provided for us.
Don't believe the diversionary warning that cows milk is only for baby calves. You could take that type of reasoning further into ridiculousness and say that chicken eggs are not meant for any animal to eat but are only for the purpose of growing adult chickens. Cow's milk may not have the same exact structure as human mother's milk but indigenous cultures have found ways to ferment milk into yogurts, kefir and cheeses to make milk into an even healthier food. For those who even have problems with fresh cow's milk that has not been pasteurized....fermentation usually takes care of most milk intolerance problems. Let's hope that government and industry's next scam is not to make human mothers pasteurize their milk. The video below does an excellent job of explaining why raw milk is so much healthier than processed factory farm milk. To find sources of fresh milk near you, visit
